Arkansas Family Dental Scholarship
Awarded to incoming, full-time freshman participating in the Dr. Charles W. Donaldson Summer Bridge Academy. Preference is given to students majoring in a health-related field and to those who live in Pulaski County. Academic accomplishment and financial need will be strongly considered.

Bernice Robinson Webb Memorial Endowed Scholarship
Awarded to a full-time or part-time student enrolled in the College of Education and Health Professions who is planning to become a teacher. Preference will be given to juniors and seniors who have a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher. Scholarship is renewable but students must reapply annually.

Chardae “Yukobaby” Graham Book Grant
Awarded to a full-time or part-time student majoring in Teacher Education. Preference will be given to a minority student. Applicants must have a GPA between 2.0 and 2.75 and be at least a sophomore level student. Academic accomplishment and financial need will be strongly considered.

Charles D. and Angela C. Maynard and Angela Maynard Sewall Endowed Scholarship
Awarded to a full-time or part-time student majoring in a master’s or doctoral program within the College of Education and Health Professions. Preference will be given to master’s level students in programs of study impacting students in K-12 education. Preference shall be given to students who express a desire to stay in Arkansas to teach. Academic accomplishment and financial need will be strongly considered.

Dr. Rose A. Berry Scholarship
Awarded to a full-time or part-time, junior or senior who demonstrates potential as a teacher or for contributing to the profession of education. Academic accomplishment, leadership and financial need will all be considered The recipient shall be any junior or senior student duly admitted to the Teacher Education Program and pursuing or furthering a degree in the area of Elementary or Early Childhood Education in the College of Education and Health Professions at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.

Gene V. Campbell Scholarship
Awarded to full-time or part-time graduate students majoring in education. Academic accomplishment and financial need will be considered. Scholarships awarded in even numbered years only.

Irene, John Dale, and Hugh Stanphill Scholarship
Awarded to full-time or part-time graduate or undergraduate students. Financial need is strongly considered. The scholarship is renewable if undergrad recipients maintain a 3.0 GPA and graduate recipients maintain a 3.25 GPA.

Jessie Pauline Wyatt Endowed Book Award
Awarded to full-time or part-time students majoring in education. Preference will be given to junior and senior level students. Academic accomplishment and financial need will be considered.

Barbara E. Northrup Memorial Scholarship for Interpreter Education
Awarded to full-time or part-time student majoring in Interpretation ASL/English. The recipient shall maintain a GPA of 3.00 or above. The recipient shall score intermediate or higher on the SCPL.

Jerry and Teresa Elkins Endowed Award
Awarded to full-time or part-time student majoring in Master of Education in Counselor Education. The recipient must have had a GPA of 3.00 or above in Undergraduate coursework. Preference will be given to students residing in Sharp or Independence County, Arkansas, and financial need will be considered.

Marguerite Flake Scholarship*
Awarded to full-time or part-time students with preference given to applicants who show a sincere commitment to the field of education as a life-long career. Preference will be given to undergraduates or graduates majoring in the teaching of reading or special education.

Trebing Graduate Assistant Fund
Awarded to graduate students pursuing a master’s degree in Orientation and Mobility Instruction, Rehabilitation Teaching, or Classroom Teaching of the Visually Handicapped.

Annie Lee Jones Jolly Scholarship
Preference will be given to students majoring in Early Childhood Education or Middle Childhood Education with high academic standing, scholarship, and service. Exceptional financial need may also be considered.

Bessie Moore Scholarship
Awarded to full-time or part-time undergraduates or graduates majoring in Early Childhood Education. Applicants must submit a narrative describing their interest in early childhood development as a profession. Scholarship is renewable. Recipients must maintain a 3.0 GPA while receiving this scholarship. Academic accomplishment and financial need will be considered.

Bettye McDonald Caldwell and Fred T. Caldwell, Jr. Endowed Scholarship
Awarded to a full-time or part-time student majoring in Early Childhood Education at UA Little Rock. Preference will be given to junior and senior level students with acceptable earlier academic performance who wish to become certified Early Childhood Education teachers. In exceptional instances, applicants who have not reached junior status will be considered. Students who intend to continue working part-time will be given full consideration. Academic accomplishments (3.0 GPA or above) and financial need will be strongly considered.

Flor Guillen Memorial Scholarship
Awarded to full-time or part-time students majoring in elementary education or early childhood education. Preference will be given to junior and senior level students. Academic achievement and financial need will be considered.

Geneva Jones Winters Endowed Scholarship
Awarded to a full-time or part-time student majoring in early childhood education with special consideration given to those considering a career working with children in kindergarten or first grade. Academic achievement and financial need will be considered.

June Hoes Williams Fellowship for Easterseals Arkansas
Awarded to a full-time or part-time student majoring in special education. Receipients will work with Easterseals programs including, but not limited to the A.R.T. program. Academic achievement and financial need will be strongly considered.

Lois Walters ADK Scholarship
Awarded to full-time or part-time students majoring in elementary education or elementary administration. Academic achievement and financial need will be considered.

Lynn Nelson Memorial Scholarship
Awarded to a student pursuing a career in child development.

Marguerite Flake Scholarship*
Preference will be given to undergraduates or graduates majoring in the education of the handicapped or in the teaching of reading.

Noyce STEM Scholarship and Internship
Paid internships are awarded to freshmen and sophomores majoring in a STEM field and considering the Education Minor.

Scholarships are awarded to full-time or part-time undergraduates majoring in a STEM field and enrolled in the Education Minor. Awards are given for the last 60 credit hours. Scholarship is renewable; recipients must reapply annually. For an application and more information, please visit us here.

Rosa Mae Bogan Millikan Endowed Scholarship
Recipient shall be a full-time student majoring in Science and Math Education. Preference given to rising junior and senior level students who have a GPA of at least 3.00. Preference will be given, but not limited, to non-traditional students.

Sandra Murphree Newell Endowed Scholarship
Awarded to a full-time or part-time student majoring in a teacher preparation program with preference given to juniors or seniors in middle childhood or secondary education. Preference will be given to students who wish to become teachers and are working toward their initial licensure as teachers. Academic accomplishment and financial need will be strongly considered. Applicant must have a minimum GPA of 2.75.

Susan K. Philpott Memorial Fund
Awarded to graduate students majoring in Special Education.

William D. Lynch Endowed Scholarship
Awarded to a full-time or part-time student who is fully admitted to the Reading Recovery or Reading graduate program. Academic achievement and financial need will be considered.

Awarded to a full-time or part-time student majoring in health sciences. Students must have a 3.00 cumulative GPA. Heather education service and research should be strongly considered.

Awarded to a full-time or part-time student majoring in nursing. Selection will be based on academic accomplishment with consideration being given to financial need.

Denise J. Petersen Non-Traditional Student Scholarship
Awarded to a full-time student majoring in nursing. Recipients shall be a non-traditional student (with preference being given to an individual returning to school who already possesses an undergraduate degree) who is an academic junior that is entering their first year in the nursing program. Preference will be given to single mothers who are returning to school to pursue an associate or bachelor degree in Nursing to reenter the workforce and those who do not qualify for or have access to additional scholarships and financial aid. Academic accomplishment and progress will be strongly considered.

Dennis Jungmeyer Scholarship
Awarded to a full-time student accepted into the nursing program who is a current or former CARTI patient. Academic accomplishment, community service and financial need will be strongly considered. A narrative page should be attached to the application detailing the applicants interest in furthering his or her education in nursing. The recipient(s) will be asked to sign a good faith intent of employment within the nursing fields, with preference given to those remaining in Arkansas.

Flesher Family Foundation Scholarship
Awarded to a full-time or part-time student accepted into the nursing program with preference given to first generation college students. Academic accomplishment and financial need will be strongly considered.

Flora Mae Griffey Scholarship
Awarded to a full-time student accepted into the nursing program with preference given to second-year students. Financial need will be a primary consideration. Special consideration shall also be given to those students who do not qualify for a scholarship based on high GPA, but are nevertheless deserving of assistance.

Florence C. Zook, R.N. Scholarship
Awarded to a full-time or part-time student majoring in nursing who is an emerging or current senior student. Applicants must have an above average GPA in the current nursing class. Academic accomplishment and financial need will be strongly considered.

Hazel Kreigbaum Russ Nursing Scholarship
Awarded to a full-time or part-time student majoring in nursing. Academic accomplishment and financial need will be strongly considered.

Patricia P. and George E. Thompson, Jr. Endowed Scholarship
Awarded to a full-time or part-time student pursuing an associates degree in nursing and who do not hold a prior degree. Recipients must be completing their second semester of the associate degree in nursing program and demonstrating strong progress toward completion of the degree. Financial need will be strongly considered. Preference will be given to students who are progressing in the program but who might not otherwise be awarded an academic scholarship, including those who are making a 2.0 GPA and above. Students considered for this scholarship shall be nominated by a faculty member and presented to the scholarship committee of the Department of Nursing by faculty members teaching the first-year students.

Awarded to a full-time or part-time student majoring in Nursing. Academic accomplishment and financial need will be strongly considered.

Rick and Mary Edwards Scholarship
Awarded to a full-time or part-time student majoring in nursing. Academic accomplishment and financial need will be strongly considered. The recipient shall be a resident, student, or employee of Saline County.

Willard and Pat Walker Nursing Scholarship
Awarded to a full-time or part-time student majoring in nursing. Applicant must have academic accomplishment and financial need. A writing sample should be submitted with the application. Interviews will be scheduled during the application process.

AARP Chapter 34 Scholarship
Awarded to a second-year student in the School of Social Work pursuing a Master of Arts in Gerontology or a Master of Arts in Gerontology and a Master’s Degree in Social Work (dual program). Qualifications include a strong desire to work with the aging population, a second-year internship working with the elderly, demonstration of financial need, and a GPA of 3.25 or higher.

Centers for Youth and Families Scholarship
Awarded to a full-time or part-time student admitted to the BSW program. Academic accomplishment and financial need will be strongly considered.

Dr. Mark Allen Krain Endowed Scholarship
Awarded to a full-time or part-time student majoring in social work. Academic accomplishment and financial need will be strongly considered.

Dr. Nancy J. Harm Memorial Scholarship
Awarded to a full-time Master’s student who has successfully completed the first year of the MSW program and is entering their final year of graduate studies. Preference will be given to single parents and financial need will be strongly considered.

Dr. Robert E. Elliott Memorial Scholarship
The purpose of the Dr. Robert E. Elliott Memorial Scholarship is to provide assistance for any education related expenses, including but not limited to tuition, books, fees, and room and board for students pursuing or furthering a graduate degree in Social Work specializing in Mental Health. Applicants must submit an application accompanied by a personal letter explaining why they should receive the grant. Academic accomplishment and financial need will be strongly considered. The recipient will be required to attend at least one board meeting of the Robert Elliott Foundation and participate in 3 of their major annual events.

Gisela Spieker Social Work Scholarship
Awarded to second-year graduate students who are dedicated to their studies and focused on academic achievement. Financial need will be considered secondary to academic achievement.

Rebecca Fuller Ward Endowed Scholarship
Awarded to a full-time MSW graduate student with preference given to U.S. citizens. Academic accomplishment and financial need will be strongly considered.
