Chaundra Hall Appointed Interim Chief Financial Officer

As we continue to mourn the loss of our beloved friend and colleague, Steve McClellan, Dr. Drale has announced that Chaundra Hall, Associate Vice President of Finance for the University of Arkansas System, has agreed to serve as the Interim Chief Financial Officer for UA Little Rock until we are able to fill the position of Vice Chancellor of Finance and Administration.

The UA System Office of Finance and Administration coordinates and provides oversight of the preparation of annual operating budgets and financial reports to the Board of Trustees, prepares the consolidated annual financial statements, and provides support for all of the System’s financial representatives and affairs.

Prior to her current position, Chaundra served in the role of Associate Vice Chancellor for Finance at the University of Arkansas Little Rock where she administratively oversaw the financial operations of the Controller’s Office, Procurement, and Student Financial Services. In addition, Chaundra held the positions of Controller and Associate Vice Chancellor for Finance at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff and directed those offices from 2001 to 2013.

Chaundra, a Certified Public Accountant, earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and a Master of Science in Accounting from the University of Memphis. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO), and Arkansas Association of College and University Business Officers (AACUBO).

As the Interim CFO, Ms. Hall will oversee the following units: Financial Services (including Payroll, Accounts Payable, and Property Accounting), the Bursar/Student Accounts Office, the Budget Office, and Procurement.

Public Safety, Facilities, IT Services, Printing Services, and Mail Services will report to Dr. Drale until further notice.
