Am I required to complete an orientation to Blackboard?

There are no general requirements that say you must complete the self-paced orientation or attend one of the scheduled events detailed on this page, but some units on campus or individual instructors may specifically require you to show evidence of completion.

I can't find the information I'm looking for -- what do I do next?

If you’re having trouble finding the answers to your questions, you can always reach out to the ASK Desk, which can be reached during business hours year round apart from major holidays and winter break by emailing ask@ualr.edu or calling 501.916.3000.

Are you experiencing a technical issue? You can find more information about campus technical support on the Blackboard Student Support website.

Attend an online synchronous orientation workshop

Each semester, the office of Scholarly Technology and Resources conducts a series of workshops for students looking for basic information about Blackboard to help get them started with their online courses. These workshops are conducted virtually and geared toward new students with no prior experience with the system.
