11th Annual Racial Attitudes Conference a Success

The 11th Annual Racial Attitudes in Pulaski County Conference was a success with more than 150 people in attendance.

This year’s topic focused on Money, Class, and Opportunity and featured presentations and remarks by university, business, and political leaders.

Chancellor Joel E. Anderson also addressed attendees, challenging them to stay involved with the issue of race and seek ways to challenge the idea that race is no longer an issue because time has eliminated racial injustice.  “If time is taking care of it, then the cure is much too slow and will leave many minority citizens to continue to suffer disadvantage for centuries to come…”, said Anderson.

The 2014 survey report and data is available to the public, along with the previous ten years of information.
