Sun Belt Commissioner Karl Benson was on hand Thursday, February 19 to recognize the UALR Volleyball Team for their impressive season and accomplishments. The conference record, conference tournament, and NCAA tournament banners were raised at half time of the men’s basketball game against Arkansas State.
The team advanced to the second round of the NCAA tournament by upsetting No. 16 seed Kansas, before narrowly falling to Oregon State in a five set match. The Trojan Volleyball team had a perfect 20-0 Sun Belt conference record, and, prior to the match against Oregon State, held the longest winning streak in the nation.
