Architizer, an international website profiling architecture firms and projects around the globe, recently featured UALR’s Charles W. Donaldson Student Services Center on its homepage and social media feeds.
Architizer’s profile of the Student Services Center, which has over 2,200 views, emphasizes the building’s convenient design connecting student housing to core academic facilities.
“Cladding this form in a glass curtain wall system of varying opacity emphasizes openness and transparency, and creates a visual connection between students inside and out,” it reads.
The Student Services Center, a 48,529-square-foot glass and brick building, was completed in the summer of 2012 with a $13 million budget.
The building won the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) “Gold” Certification, a standard developed by the U.S. Green Building Council, for sustainable features included in its design.
