Students enrolled full-time, in good academic standing, and maintaining an F-1 or J-1 status are eligible to work on campus for up to 20 hours a week during the academic year and full-time during university breaks, including summer, winter, and spring break. Official breaks begin on the day after the final exam, per the UA Little Rock academic calendar.
On-campus part-time employment opportunities are offered through departments and offices throughout campus. Positions are based on departmental resources and are competitive. International students should not depend upon finding a job on campus as their means of financial support.
Types of On-Campus Employment Include:
- Teaching or research assistantship
- Donaghey Student Center (DSC) in the food court or the gym
- Ottenheimer Library
- Academic Success Center
Many positions on campus are funded by the federal work-study program. Unfortunately, international students do not qualify for these positions.
