After an international trip, students will need to show good immigration standing to reenter the US. The following documents will or may be requested at the port of entry:
Primary documents required for all reentry
- Passport valid 6 months into the future
- Visa valid on day of entry
- I-20 or DS-2019 signed for travel
Secondary documents may be requested at reentry
- Proof of registration for upcoming or current semester
- Transcript showing registration from prior semesters
- I-901 SEVIS Fee Receipt
- An acceptance letter or recent tuition payment receipt
- Financial support documents, typically the same as those provided during the original visa interview
- A designated school official’s name and contact information

- For an emergency at port-of-entry, call UA Little Rock Public Safety. They will transfer you to an international advisor if needed: 501-916-3566
- If the border patrol issues you any documentation (I-515) be sure to bring it to ISS at your earliest convenience so we can respond
- The I-94 is now electronic. You will not receive an I-94 at the port-of-entry
- Access your I-94 at www.cbp.gov/i94
Students should check in with International Student Services after:
- Receiving a new visa
- Entering the US on a new SEVIS record
- Being issued an I-515 at the port of entry
