UA Little Rock Hosts Cybersecurity Panel Discussion

IT Services supports National Cybersecurity Awareness Month (NCSAM), an event that has been observed every October since 2004. NCSAM is a collaboration between the Department of Homeland Security and the National Cyber Security Alliance and was created to ensure that every individual stays safe and secure online.

Maulden-Entergy Endowed Chair and Distinguished Professor of Information Science and Director of the Collaboratorium for Social Media and Online Behavioral Studies (COSMOS), and Dr. Philip Huff, Assistant Professor of Computer Science.

They were joined by Dr. Thomas Bunton, Chief Information Officer at UA Little Rock, and Dr. Veysel Erdag, Chief Information Security Officer at UA Little Rock. Dr. Erin Finzer, Associate Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, moderated the discussion.

The panel focused on the 2021 theme, “Do Your Part #BeCyberSmart.” They gave a timely and informative discussion on how people can improve online security and shared recent cybersecurity events that have occurred at UA Little Rock.  A lively Q&A session followed the discussion.
