Study Abroad welcomes and encourages diverse students to explore studying abroad!
As you travel, you will find that attitudes toward women and underrepresented groups vary greatly among cultures. Consider that even if you are not in the minority at home, you might be a minority in a foreign culture. Educating yourself and thinking through the many scenarios you might encounter will better prepare you for your study abroad experience.
Below are some resources to help you learn about issues of diversity and inclusion and how they relate to study abroad. Please take your time and explore these resources. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please contact UALR Study Abroad to set up an advising appointment.
