Information Quality students Pei Wang and Daniel Pullen won first place in the Graduate Engineering and Technology Division of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UALR) Research and Creative Works Expo. The competition was held on April 4, 2014, and their poster titled “Applying Probabilistic Matching and Post Resolution Clerical Review to Improve Entity Resolution Results” described research aimed at improving the accuracy of entity resolution processes used for master data management (MDM). Both Pei and Daniel are receiving their MS in Information Quality degrees from UALR in May, 2014, and both plan to enter Information Quality Track of the UALR Integrated Computing PhD Program. Their research advisors are Dr. Ningning Wu and Dr. John R. Talburt, professors in the UALR Information Science Department. The research was supported in part by grants from the Arkansas Department of Education. UALR is the only U.S. University to offer graduate degrees in information quality.
