Workday Student Core Team working to implement Student information System rollout in 2024-25

Workday logoUA Little Rock will transition from our current Banner student information system to the new Workday Student system in an incremental rollout starting 2024-25. Workday Student is a modern cloud-based solution that will offer a consistent, user-friendly digital experience with more personalized engagement—enabling students to register for courses, track their work-study hours, manage financial aid, and request an advising appointment all in one place, through any device and any location, 24-7. Streamlining these processes will genuinely allow us to meet students where they are—a benefit now more crucial than ever before.

Even though the actual implementation of Workday Student is a few years away, the Workday Student Core Team and critical campus representatives have been hard at work participating in the labor-intensive timeline set by the UA System Office. UA Little Rock is in Cohort 2 of this implementation (4-year schools, Professional Universities), with Cohort 1 (2-year schools) the first to go live in 2023.

Our student core team is currently in the Align & Prototype phase, as seen in the timeline above, and immersed in meetings focusing on upcoming homework for the configuration workbooks due to Project One. At this date, Workset B of this phase is complete, and tasks have started for Workset C. Please note these teams are fully engaged in this implementation process, all while still maintaining their “day” jobs.

To learn more about Workday Student, please stay tuned to communications regarding upcoming informational sessions around campus. Your awareness, knowledge, and involvement in this implementation are vital for the success of our students and our campus.

Please watch a recent Town Hall student update by Brian Keltch, Project Coordinator, and Dr. David Montague, Primary Student Lead for Academic Affairs. Town Hall (Passcode: qc4.^UcW).
