Webinar: Affordable Care Act Enrollment Assistance for LGBT Communities

Webinar: January 13, 2015, 2:00 to 3:30 PM

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) invites you to join us for an important webinar on Tuesday January 13, 2015 from 2:00pm – 3:30pm. This technical assistance webinar will provide an in-depth review of SAMHSA’s recently released toolkit for behavioral health providers to assist LGBT communities with Affordable Care Act Enrollment.

This toolkit, Affordable Care Act Enrollment Assistance for LGBT Communities: A Resource for Behavioral Health Providers, is a three-part guide intended to help behavioral health providers better understand health insurance enrollment and the unique concerns facing their LGBT patients. The toolkit consists of a briefing document for providers, a PowerPoint presentation reviewing the briefing document, and a trifold Frequently Asked Questions brochure for consumers.

Experts in LGBT health insurance enrollment and behavioral health care will present the toolkit and give an overview of each of its three parts. The webinar will also provide an overview of LGBT health disparities, as well as discuss targeted outreach and enrollment strategies for LGBT communities.
