Computer Science Faculty Assist in Landing NSA Grant for AI Implementation for Data Security

Dr. Mariofanna Milanova, professor in the Department of Computer Science, is the principal investigator on a $640,000 grant from the NSA, which will help ramp up the technical skills of those in the healthcare cybersecurity field. UA Little Rock will also partner with the renowned Forge Institute to develop ways to train veterans as well as first responders.

Mr. Philip Huff, assistant professor of computer science and cybersecurity, plans to utilize his 15+ years in the field to help better the cybersecurity workforce. We’ve already seen this in play, as he has seen great success with launching the CyberGym as well as getting the BS in Cybersecurity degree on the books for Fall 2021. Read more on their plans here.
