Dr. Crutcher is publishing a paper with a colleague in the Journal of Adolescent & Adult Literacy, and presenting at the International Literacy Association’s annual conference, about integrating texts addressing LGBTQ issues and viewpoints, to promote social justice in the classroom and challenge the “single story” of heteronormative assumptions in literature and historical accounts.
