I’m having trouble connecting to WiFi

Resetting your device for use on UALR WiFi

One of the easiest and fastest ways to resolve most issues and re-connect is to delete the UALR-WiFi network from your device and then re-connect.

Apple iPhone & iPad & Apple Watch

In Settings, Wi-Fi, click the “i” next to UALR-WiFi, then click “Forget This Network” then, re-join UALR-WiFi, enter your Active Directory username and password, and then click Trust on the wifi.ualr.edu certificate. Make sure that Private Address is unchecked on your iPhone for the UALR-WiFi network and all of your network settings are set to DHCP and/or Dynamic.

Android

Go to Settings > Wireless & Networks. Choose Wifi Settings, then long press the network named UALR-WiFi. Now choose Forget Network. Now, re-join UALR-WiFi and enter your Active Directory username and password. Make sure all of your network settings are set to DHCP and/or Dynamic.

Microsoft Windows 10

In Windows you right-click on UALR-WiFi and then click “forget” the UALR-WiFi network from your device This step deletes the installed security certificate on Microsoft Window 10, which may be expired or otherwise rejected. Now, re-join UALR-WiFi, enter your Active Directory username and password You should next be prompted to trust and install a fresh wifi.ualr.edu certificate. Make sure all of your network settings are set to DHCP and/or Dynamic.

Apple MacBook and MacBook Air

Go to System Preferences > Network, then select Wi-Fi on the left. Now, select UALR-WiFi from the list & then click on the Disconnect button. Click on the Advanced button, and select UALR-WiFi from the list and then click on the (-) button to remove it from the list. Click on the OK button to close the window. Now click the Apply button in the Networks window. Now, re-join UALR-WiFi, enter your Active Directory username and password, and then click Trust on the wifi.ualr.edu certificate. Make sure that Private Address is unchecked on your iPhone for the UALR-WiFi network and all of your network settings are set to DHCP and/or Dynamic.

PASSWORDS
