The Division of Academic Affairs is proud to recognize four outstanding staff members with our annual Staff Recognition Awards. Academic staff serve our campus community with a dedication to excellence providing exceptional service to our students and their families, communities members, faculty, and other staff. The staff members who receive these awards have excelled in the performance of their duties and their attention to UA Little Rock’s goals of preparing students for success, strengthening and supporting the human resources and infrastructure necessary to fulfill the university’s mission and vision, encouraging and supporting research and creative endeavors, and serving as an active partner in the community.

Each of the four awards comes with a certificate to display in the winner’s workspace:

  • Innovation – For a staff member who has used creativity to develop or implemented new and/or improved processes, services, and methods.
  • Customer Service – For a staff member who has made exceptional contributions to deliver superior service to members of our campus community and/or the community at large.
  • Initiative – For a staff member who, of their own accord, has taken on exceptional responsibilities beyond their primary job duties.
  • Team Work- For a staff member who fosters a high degree of collegiality in their daily work with our students, faculty, other staff, and community members.

The winners in each category will receive $1,000 dollars.

Eligibility and Selection Criteria

All full-time classified and non-classified staff who have worked in one of the units in the divisions of Academic Affairs are eligible for this award. Please see the link below for a list all units within academic affairs. The recipients of the Staff recognition awards are selected by the Staff Recognition Awards selection committee. Please note faculty are not eligible for the awards.
