Prerequisite: MATH 1302 or 1321 or equivalent. A study of descriptive and inferential statistical techniques. Topics include central tendency, dispersion, graphical displays of data, probability distributions for discrete and continuous variables, frequency distributions, percentiles, null hypothesis testing, power, effect sizes, type I and type II errors, one and two tailed tests, sampling distributions, chi square, correlation and regression. Three lecture hours and two lab hours. Four credit hours.
